A residence of this stature necessitates that things be done on a grand scale, and that includes home entertainment and home control systems.
Spread throughout this grand home is no less than 21 listening zones which are tied together via ADA’s Suite 16 multi-room AV system. ASI selected monochrome ADA keypads to give the client feedback on all music sources and Sonance Visual Performance series speakers to match the trim of the lights. With the exception of a few pieces of local equipment, all non-user equipment is located out of sight in an air-conditioned storage room.
The great room features theater quality sound in a discrete package. The 52-inch LCD is installed behind a mirrored panel that stays closed when not in use. With a press of a button from either a touch screen controller or a handheld universal remote control, the lift mechanism is triggered to raise the panel. The control equipment for this room is behind closed doors, integrated into the millwork. It is nothing short of elegant.
Atlantic Systems Integration also installed a secured, whole house wired/wireless computer network with remote login support for the client and a Panasonic phone system featuring a combination of corded and cordless phones.
